This one day training is suitable for those planning and delivering RSE in primary and secondary schools.
Please note that this course is only available to people who work directly with children and young people in Medway and we can only accept a maximum of 2 people from each setting on each course, this is to ensure a fair opportunity for everyone.
Please be advised that bookings for courses should be cancelled via the health portal at least one week before the training date. If you are unable to do this via this portal due to bookings for the course being closed - please email childhealth@medway.gov.uk to cancel your place. If this does not happen or there is non-attendance on the day/s of the course then delegates will be charged £100 (individual circumstances will be considered)

In completing this course you will:
- Understand how to deliver RSE in-line with the new UK government guidelines.
- Identify features of high quality RSE, based on research evidence
- Techniques to support effective teaching and learning including using distancing techniques,
- Creative ways to approach a selection of RSE topics, to support learners to access learning safely and inclusively
- Reflect on your own sex education
- To think critically about sex negative and sex positive discourses
- Understand what needs to be in place for effective RSE to happen
