This course will help you to identify a child or young person (CYP) that may be at risk of self-harm and improve confidence in discussing these concerns with the CYP and their family. This course is offered as part of Medway’s prevention and early identification strategy for self-harm.
Please note that this course is only available to people who work directly with children and young people in Medway and we can only accept a maximum of 2 people from each setting on each course, this is to ensure a fair opportunity for everyone.
Please be advised that bookings for courses should be cancelled via the health portal at least one week before the training date. If you are unable to do this via this portal due to bookings for the course being closed - please email childhealth@medway.gov.uk to cancel your place. If this does not happen or there is non-attendance on the day/s of the course then delegates will be charged £100 (individual circumstances will be considered

Target Audience
This is a basic awareness session for parents, carers, and/or professionals who work with children, young people and/or their families in Medway. Training is tailored to the target audience and delivered in the venue of your choice
