Who should attend?

This session is designed for all levels of staff / volunteers who may have contact with individuals that would benefit from the services offered.

This session is intended to provide participants with an overview of Kent Association for the Blind / Visual Impairment Services and understand how to signpost individuals to services.

The session will also provide an opportunity to learn about visual impairment and its potential impact on daily life.

·      Welcome & Introductions

·      Expectations and Quiz

·      KAB / Visual Impairment Services - overview

·      Eligibility and referral process

·      Overview of eye conditions

·      Review of equipment / aids / simulation

·      Q & A

There is no charge for this Training, except if there is failure to attend without giving notice, when a charge of £50 may be incurred. 

If for any reason you are unable to attend or no longer require the Training, please cancel your place on the course through our Training Portal or email phworkforcetraining@medway.gov.uk as it allows another person to attend.
