Many of us see the impact that overweight and obesity can have on children, families, and communities. If you care about improving health and want to be part of the solution, this is an opportunity to get involved.

Healthy Weight Advocates across Medway will help raise awareness, promote understanding, and positively influence attitudes and practices around weight.

More information

This course explores obesity and weight management through a compassionate, whole-system approach. Participants will increase their understanding of obesity as both a metabolic and societal issue, recognise and address weight stigma and bias, and build confidence in having supportive conversations about weight with adults, children, and families, and to normalise these conversations as we would do with any other health issue. The course also focuses on promoting sustainable behaviour change, encouraging collaboration across communities and services, and identifying practical actions to create healthier individual environments and improve health outcomes.
