Anyone can experience loneliness or social isolation, and it isn’t always easy to admit.   Loneliness is completely normal – we are human beings who need social connection to thrive. This course will equip you with the awareness and understand how you can help reduce the experience of loneliness and isolation in your work.

Covid-19 highlighted the importance of our social connections and showed us how difficult it can be when you feel isolated.  Loneliness is one of the largest health concerns we face, greater than those associated with many factors that currently receive substantial public health attention and resources (e.g. Obesity, smoking, physical inactivity, air pollution).

Taking time to truly understand what loneliness and isolation are and how that may differ from person to person can make a significant difference in reducing the experience.  This masterclass will give you an understanding and confidence that whatever your experience of loneliness or social isolation, there are always things you can do or support available to help you and others feel more connected.

Target Audience
