This course will cover the types of fraud and their key factors as well as the signs that someone is being targeted by fraudsters.

This one hour, bite-sized course will cover:

 

  • The types of fraud and their key factors: Vishing (telephone Scams) Smishing and Phishing (Text and Email) and Romance Frauds, and how we can protect ourselves and others from these types of fraud.
  • What can be signs that someone is being targeted by fraudsters and how to prevent repeat victimisation?
  • How to report fraud if you are or suspect someone is a victim of fraud.

Target Audience

This course is aimed at frontline workers, especially those working with people who are likely to be vulnerable to fraud eg social prescribers, health & wellbeing coaches, social workers, library staff, care navigators, carers, community wardens, housing officers and client facing roles within Public Health
