-MHFA will help teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis – and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
-Recognise warning signs of mental ill health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping yourself safe.
-Learn how to empower someone to access the support they might need for recovery or successful management of symptoms.
MHFA courses are delivered by the Public Health team in Medway and are funded by Medway Council to support better mental health awareness in Medway. Medway Council targets this training at particular groups such as those working with vulnerable people, supporting mental health at work, or in occupations more at risk of poor mental health outcomes. All training is offered on a fair access basis and bookings are monitored to ensure the training is being accessed by the right groups. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if an organisation is over-utilising the funded places, or places are being taken up by delegates from outside the target audience. If you are unsure if the course is right for you, or your organisation please contact us.
