This is a brief introductory session that outlines the principles of MECC (Making Every Contact Count) and highlights the local services available to support people in relation to stopping smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, reducing alcohol related harm and maintaining good mental health and wellbeing.  It will also provide an introduction to healthy conversation skills and raise awareness of some other public health topics.

This course will benefit anyone looking to improve their interpersonal skills and local knowledge.  It’s particularly aimed at those who have contact with members of the public and where opportunities to signpost to local public health services are likely to arise (e.g. Community Hub Staff, Library Staff, School Administrators, Leisure Centre Receptionists, Housing Officers etc)
